FLOW CYTOMETRY

Flow cytometry is a laser-based technology in which cells suspended in a fluid, flow one at a time through a focus of exciting light, which is scattered in patterns characteristic to the cells and their components. They are often labeled with fluorescent markers so that light is first absorbed and then emitted at altered frequencies. A sensor detecting the scattered or emitted light measures the size and molecular characteristics of individual cells. Tens of thousands of cells can be examined per minute and the data gathered are processed by computer.

Flow cytometry is used in numerous applications in basic research, clinical research, drug discovery and clinical diagnostics testing. Flow cytometers rapidly identify, categorize and characterize multiple types of cells in suspension. Flow cytometers allow analysis of cell types including cell characteristics such as phenotype or functionality, thereby allowing researchers to analyze specific cell populations. This analysis can be performed beyond blood to include bone marrow, tumors and other cells.

Through our partnership with Beckman Coulter, Leriva’s Life Science business unit offers an extensive range of flow cytometers, cell sorters, cell preparation systems, software and reagents and monoclonal antibodies.

CytoFLEX Flow Cytometer

Benchtop cytometry without compromises

The CytoFLEX Flow Cytometer, the first introduction to the CytoFLEX Platform, provides the required performance in an easy to use system that allows the operator to focus on the science, not the instrumentation. Its superior sensitivity and resolution throughout all configurations give it the edge over other cytometry systems four times its size.

With its Violet-Blue-Red (V-B-R) Series, fully activated with 13 colors or as few as four, The CytoFLEX Flow Cytometer enables the activation of additional channels for future use. It includes 13 band pass filters and for higher throughput applications, an optional plate loader module is available.

CytoFLEX S Flow Cytometer

Benchtop cytometry for special applications

The CytoFLEX S Flow Cytometer series is an expansion of the CytoFLEX Platform. This model expands research possibilities, with a fourth laser option, multiple configurations and unique filter sets that allows investigators to focus on the science, not the instrumentation.

The CytoFLEX S Flow Cytometer offers four different series i.e. Violet-Blue-Yellow Green-Red (V-B-Y-R), Near UV-Violet-Blue-Red (N-V-B-R),Near UV-Violet-Blue-Yellow Green (N-V-B-Y), Violet-Blue-Red-IR (V-B-R-I). It offers the activation of as few as four parameters and the later upgrade within the series for up to 13 parameters. For higher throughput applications, an optional plate loader module is available.

CytoFLEX LX Flow Cytometer

Advanced solution for multicolor analysis

The CytoFLEX LX Flow Cytometer is an expansion of the CytoFLEX Platform. This model expands research possibilities with up to six lasers and 21 color parameters. Six spatially separated lasers allow panels to be spread across the spectrum reducing cross talk and spectral overlap.

The CytoFLEX LX Flow Cytometer offers two series i.e. UV-Violet-blue-Yellow Green-Red-IR (U-V-B-Y-R-I) and Near UV-Violet-Blue-Yellow Green-Red-IR (N-V-B-Y-R-I). Instruments with as few as four activated laser and 14 color parameters are available with the option to activate additional lasers and colors in the future with the purchase of an activation key. For higher throughput applications, an optional plate loader module is available.

MoFlo Astrios Cell Sorter

Configurable high speed cell sorting

The Astrios EQ Series of high-speed flow cytometry sorters simplify the most complex sorting tasks and deliver powerful sorting capability while reducing complexity.

The Astrios EQ and EQs are available with up to 7 spatially separated lasers and 51 parameters, offer six-way jet-in-air proficiency and dual forward scatter (EQ) and single forward scatter (EQs model). The also feature patented enhanced Forward Scatter (eFSC) technology.

nizonPlus Cell Washer

Automated sample preparation

The nizonPLUS cell washer is an automated sample preparation device for lysis and separation (wash) of the liquid phase of blood (residual part of the lysis of red blood cells) from the solid phase (cells and white blood cells) for cytometric determination of marked cells.

Cell lysis takes place through the release of a programmable and appropriate solution. Washing is performed through specimen centrifugation with subsequent cell sedimentation and supernatant, removing RBCs, platelets and other contaminations while preserving the white blood cells. Up to 32 specimen tubes can be accommodated and processed in two batches of 16 tubes each. The nizonPLUS cell washer offers storing up to 10 methods (including two factory preset reference methods) and four modes of operation (lysis only, wash only, lysis & wash, double lysis). A touch screen user interface simplifies instrument control.

TQ-Prep Workstation

Automated no-wash whole-blood sample preparation

The TQ-Prep Workstation and IMMUNOPREP Reagent System together provide rapid, no-wash whole-blood sample preparation. Automation provides inter-sample and inter-laboratory consistency and reproducibility. A standard 32-tube carousel allows walk-away processing and perfectly complements Beckman Coulter flow cytometers with automatic sample loaders.

Intended primarily for laboratories with a high test volume (at least 300 tests per month), the TQ-Prep Workstation uses the revolutionary patented lyse and fix technology introduced more than a decade ago with the Q-PREP Workstation and IMMUNOPREP Reagent System.

Kaluza C Analysis Software

Simple, efficient and quick analysis of multicolor, multiparametric data from flow cytometers

Kaluza C Analysis is a revolutionary flow cytometry analysis software solution designed for high content data. It provides visualization tools, speed and an innovative simplicity to the flow cytometry community. With features that streamline the clinical QC reporting requirements and address standardization issues in flow cytometry, the Kaluza C Analysis aims to provide a greater understanding of the data generated by modern flow cytometers.

Kaluza C Analysis employs technology that allows for real time analysis of high content files thus allowing investigators to spend your valuable time on discovery. It provides the power to processes multi-color files of up to 20 million events in real time.

Reagents & Monoclonal Antibodies

An antibody is a “sticky” protein that targets a specific antigen. Antibodies circulate in the body until they find and attach to the antigen. Once attached, they recruit other parts of the immune system to destroy the cells containing the antigen.

Monoclonal antibodies are laboratory produced substances that are used to recognize specific antigens on the surface of cells. As antibodies, they locate and bind to specific antigens and in this manner, immunofluorescent-stained monoclonal antibodies serve as cell-surface markers by brightly labeling cells for detection by the flow cytometer.

Through our partnership with Beckman Coulter, we offer a broad range of high-quality conjugated antibodies and assays for Clinical Diagnostic, Clinical Research and Research applications. The portfolio of Flow Cytometry reagents, entirely manufactured under good manufacturing practices (GMP), covers major application areas including hemato-oncology, HIV analysis, immune monitoring, cell cycle and stem cells studies.
