IMMUNOASSAY

Immunoassays are chemical tests used to detect or quantify chemical substances of diagnostic interest in a blood, urine or other body fluids. Immunoassay systems use antibodies as the central component in their analytical reactions and have the ability to detect and quantify very low analyte levels. Commonly performed tests assess thyroid function, screen and monitor for cancer and cardiac risk and provide important information in fertility and reproductive testing. Other tests are used to monitor critical factors associated with anemia, blood viruses and infectious diseases.

The capabilities of Beckman Coulter’s industry-leading Immunoassay systems allow laboratories to select a product with confidence, knowing they can adapt to changing work load requirements and testing needs. Combined with an extensive test menu, these systems can enhance lab efficiency by increasing productivity, improving patient health and reducing the cost of care.

Access 2 Immunoassay System

Exceptional productivity in a compact design

Offering exceptional productivity in a compact design, the Access 2 Immunoassay System maximizes the laboratory's productivity with a powerful and reliable benchtop analyzer that features a space-saving design, a user-friendly interface and a complete menu of more than 50 tests. With the Access 2, system availability is increased by providing remote instrument diagnostics through desktop sharing, identifying reagent packs automatically using an internal barcode reader to minimize operator loading errors, and making analyzer operation more comfortable with an ergonomic workstation design.

With throughput of up to 100 tests per hour, the Access 2 Immunoassay System is an ideal instrument for low volume laboratories that conduct up to 40,000 tests per year.
